Bringing Clean Water to Remote Communities: Solomon Islands Project

Safe living conditions and supporting remote communities are at the heart of what we do. It’s one of the key reasons we chose to work for ourselves, giving us the freedom to take on meaningful projects that make a real difference. Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to collaborate with incredible people on some truly impactful initiatives.

One of the most memorable projects we volunteered for took us to the Solomon Islands in 2019. There, we joined efforts to bring clean, accessible water to a remote island village. For over 20 years, the locals had to walk up to 2km to access fresh water—something many of us take for granted every day.

The project centred around 1.5km of hand-laid pipe, designed to siphon water from a mountain spring and transport it directly into the village. This system now provides water to over 40 families and supports a school of nearly 300 students and teachers. Seeing the excitement and gratitude of the community when they gained access to clean, fresh water was an unforgettable experience.

Projects like this fuel our passion for renewable energy solutions and reinforce our commitment to working in remote communities. It’s not just about installing solar systems—it’s about empowering people, improving quality of life, and creating sustainable solutions that have a lasting impact.
